First, please note that this website follows the Traditional Calendar of Feast Days.
Second, I have a strong preference for reading traditionally formatted pages and therefore share texts in PDF rather than HTML, when I have the choice.
Third, I share links to websites in foreign languages. When viewing a website within the Chrome browser, if you right click any blank space on a page written in a foreign language, you will see the option to “Translate to English.” The translations are increasingly accurate and even readable.
Fourth, there are a lot of links, so I have tried as far as possible to choose resources that I can reasonably hope will be available in the longer term future. I am sorry if you find a dead link. I work on this page in the early morning hours before the day begins. It will have dead links and typos and errors. I am sorry.
Fifth, my favorite resource is The Internet Archive. There are several formats available when you click out of the “Theater” view. Also, please note that the “Theater” view only became a separate address after about the first year of my work, so sometimes I link to the “Theater” view and sometimes to the regular view. I apologize for the inconsistency, but I cannot possibly go back and change all of the old ones to the new “Theater” view, which I do prefer. Also, many book on The Internet Archive are available to borrow. I generally do not link to them, but occasionally do. You need simply set up an account and then borrowing is free.
Finally, these posts are first and foremost where I assemble my materials for future projects. They meet my needs, but I know that they may be of value to other with different needs, so I share them. The section of the entry for any given saint that is with the least thought of another user is that of “Art & Architecture,” my own area of expertise. I do hope to clean it up for others’ use at some point, but it is definitely the section in the roughest form. Also, as I find new resources, I will add them to earlier published “posts.” The blog format is the simplest means for me to create this resource.
